A. I've had mine for a year and no complaints.

What do you mean by "good"? It takes great pictures if you've got the lens and the skills to take good pictures. It's got everything a photographer would need to set the exposure as well as white balance. The battery life is around 700 pictures, it can take video (but with manual focus).

The sensor in the competing Nikon (D5100) is better especially in low light, but for most uses you probably won't notice the difference unless you go looking for it. Comparisons between the 2 in the links.

It all depends on what you want.

My canon eos 600d cuts out whilst filming, anyone know why?

A. Your memory card is too slow, it cannot write the movie data as fast as the camera produces it. Hence after a few seconds the write buffer is full and you cannot film any more.

Buy a class ten memory card, those are fast enough.

Can my Vanon EOS 600D use autofocus while recording video?
